We are looking for an experienced and proactive Warehouse Supervisor to lead our operations in San Antonio, Texas. As a supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing daily warehouse activities, managing a team of warehouse associates, and ensuring efficient workflow for all logistics operations. Your primary focus will be on maintaining high standards of productivity, safety, and inventory accuracy. You will implement and enforce company policies, including strict adherence to safety regulations and the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE). This role requires strong leadership qualities, problem-solving skills, and the ability to motivate a team to achieve departmental goals. You will be involved in training new employees, conducting performance reviews, and optimizing warehouse processes. Your experience in warehouse management and a deep understanding of supply chain dynamics are essential for success. The ability to manage inventory effectively, reduce operational costs, and ensure timely order fulfillment will be critical. Responsibilities:
- Supervise and direct the daily activities of the warehouse staff.
- Ensure efficient receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations.
- Develop, implement, and enforce operational policies and procedures.
- Maintain a safe working environment, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and OSHA standards.
- Oversee the proper use and maintenance of warehouse equipment and facilities.
- Manage inventory control, conducting regular cycle counts and audits.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate warehouse personnel.
- Optimize warehouse layout and space utilization.
- Coordinate with other departments and external vendors to ensure smooth logistics flow.
- Implement and enforce the mandatory use of appropriate PPE.
- Manage tasks requiring significant lifting and material handling.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or in a similar leadership role.
- In-depth knowledge of warehouse procedures and best practices in logistics.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong understanding of inventory management and control.
- Familiarity with WMS and other relevant software.
- Ability to manage and resolve conflicts.
- Proficiency in safety regulations and OSHA compliance.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays if needed.
- Demonstrated ability in tasks involving heavy lifting.
