We are seeking dedicated Forklift Operators to join our growing logistics team in Omaha, Nebraska. This role is vital for the efficient and safe operation of our warehouse, ensuring materials are moved, stored, and prepared for shipment correctly. You will operate forklifts to handle a variety of goods, contributing directly to our supply chain's smooth functioning. We are committed to fostering a safe work environment and expect all team members to adhere to stringent Safety standards, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts to transport goods within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks and containers, ensuring proper placement and securing of inventory.
- Move materials to and from storage locations, production areas, and shipping docks.
- Conduct routine inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance or safety issues.
- Maintain accurate inventory records through diligent tracking and system updates.
- Keep the warehouse work area clean, organized, and free of obstructions.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures.
- Assist with inventory counts and other warehouse tasks as needed.
- Ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Work collaboratively with team members to achieve operational goals in our logistics environment.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification is essential.
- Previous experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or logistics setting is required.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including consistent Lifting of up to 50 pounds.
- Strong understanding of warehouse Safety procedures and best practices.
- Good hand-eye coordination and balance.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- Commitment to workplace Safety and quality standards.
- Willingness to follow all Safety regulations and wear necessary PPE.
