Job Summary:
We have an immediate opening for a skilled Material Handler in our Philadelphia, Pennsylvania facility. This position is integral to the efficient functioning of our warehouse and involves the careful handling and movement of goods. As a Material Handler, you will be instrumental in supporting our logistics operations by operating equipment, assisting with inventory management, and ensuring materials are correctly staged for various processes. We are seeking individuals who are dependable, detail-oriented, and prioritize Safety. Your adherence to established protocols, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is crucial for maintaining a secure work environment. Responsibilities:
  • Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and order pickers safely and efficiently.
  • Load and unload freight from trucks and railcars.
  • Transport materials between different areas of the warehouse, including receiving, storage, and shipping.
  • Assist with the accurate counting and tracking of inventory.
  • Conduct daily inspections of equipment and report any malfunctions or damage.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area, following all Safety standards.
  • Support shipping and receiving teams as needed.
  • Handle returns and damaged goods appropriately.
  • Comply with all company Safety policies and procedures, including wearing designated PPE.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to meet daily operational objectives within the logistics framework.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Previous experience in a Material Handler or warehouse role is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in operating various types of warehouse equipment.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform tasks involving manual and mechanical Lifting of up to 50 pounds.
  • Solid understanding of warehouse Safety best practices.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and demanding logistics environment.
  • Strong teamwork and communication abilities.
  • Commitment to upholding high Safety standards.
  • Willingness to adapt to changing work demands.
