The Role Our client is looking for an experienced Cloud and Operations Engineer to provide creative technical solutions to their product deployment and support of existing infrastructure using DevOps techniques. As a self-motivatedEngineeryou wouldjoin adynamicteam, supporting arapidly evolving product.Bringingyour excellentCloud and DevOps knowledge to our client. You’denable them to respond to the high volume and rapidly changing data management needs of our customers. The role is based out of Reading, with a flexible approach to working with the option to work remotely if desired. Key Tasks Automating and orchestrating thedeployment withContinuous Integration (CI), Continuous Delivery (CD)techniques Troubleshoot production and pre-production environment issues Build and configure container technologies for Docker Swarm and Kubernetes Help drive Security Practices in all implementations Build a great working relationship with team members and the Java based application development teams Develop and mentor junior team members Skills/Experience 5+ years’ experience within IT, including over 2 years in a DevOps capacity Experience with either AWS or GCP Infrastructure as Codeand automationtoolsTerraform, Helm, and Jenkins Production experience of Docker Container technologies Experience with using monitoring tools, Prometheus, Alert Manager, Grafana, ELK stack Excellent technical and non-technical communication skills Able to multitask, prioritise, and manage time efficiently An understanding of authentication protocols such as Oauth and SAML Production experience of using Kubernetes Intimate knowledge of the Linux operating system with a focus on CentOS Proficient in scripting, and Git and Git workflows (Python andbash scripts) Working knowledge of NoSQL and Relational databases technologies such as MongoDB and PostgreSQL
