Group Sales Manager

We are in search of a dynamic and results-driven Group Sales Manager to join our team!
The Sales Manager is a fully competent individual who has experience in the sales process and function of a hotel. Responsibilities include selling guest rooms, meeting space food and beverage, and other Hyatt services to groups, managing accounts, and conducting site inspections. This individual also solicits and generates business for the hotel. This position is also responsible for booking short-term groups in a fast-paced environment, while being able to manage a high volume of customers and leads at any given time.
Responsibilities also include:
Menu planning, agenda setting, hospitality amenities, room block management and special VIP requests.
Contract negotiations and review, facilitating communication before, during and post event with clients (bill review/management) and pertinent hotel staff to ensure a high level of service.
Hosting Driskill Hotel tours
Maintaining strong customer relationships,
Participating and potentially leading event meetings and other staff meetings,
Working cohesively as a team with the sales and events staff
The Sales Manager also works closely with a coordinator and other support staff.BENEFITS

Qualifications:
A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment
Proven experience in group and event sales within the hospitality industry
Strong selling, negotiating, business writing and presentation skills training is preferred
Prior experience prospecting and networking to gain new business is preferred
Candidates should be extremely detail oriented and organized
Refined verbal and written communication skills
Must be proficient in general computer knowledge
Ability to be on property on a daily basis
Prefer 1-2 years hotel sales experience or completed Management Trainee program
