Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled ETL Tester with substantial hands-on experience in advanced SQL and Python. This role is open to candidates with either a Quality Assurance (QA) or Developer background, provided you can demonstrate core expertise in complex SQL operations on ETL platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive ETL test cases and scenarios
• Write and optimize advanced SQL queries for data validation, transformation, and troubleshooting
• Collaborate with development teams to understand business and data transformation requirements
• Validate large volumes of data across multiple sources and targets using advanced SQL
• Develop automation scripts in Python for ETL testing and process streamlining
• Analyze, report, and track defects; recommend solutions
• Participate in Agile/Scrum processes and provide expertise throughout the test life cycle

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 7+ years of hands-on experience in ETL testing or related roles
• Strong command of advanced SQL (complex joins, window functions, query optimization, data analysis)
• Proficiency in Python for scripting and automation
• Experience with ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend, DataStage, SSIS) is a plus
• QA professionals or Data/ETL developers with hardcore SQL expertise are welcome
• Ability to troubleshoot, analyze, and validate large datasets
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

Must have:

• 7+ years of Testing experience
• Good background in ETL Testing
• Good background in SQL / Db testing
• Experienced with AWS services required are S3, Glue, Cloudwatch, Airflow and Athena

Mode: Hybrid (2–3 days/week in office, Downtown Toronto; rest WFH

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour
