Duties

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and specialty drinks with precision and flair.
• Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to process transactions efficiently and accurately.
• Handle cash, credit card payments, and cash handling procedures with integrity.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food preparation stations, seating areas, and equipment.
• Ensure all food safety protocols are followed, including proper food handling, storage, and sanitation standards.
• Assist in food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches or snacks to meet quality standards.
• Provide friendly, attentive customer service by engaging with guests, answering questions about menu items, and accommodating special requests.
• Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service without compromising quality.
• Support inventory management by restocking supplies and notifying supervisors of low stock levels.
• Follow all health regulations and safety procedures to maintain a safe environment for staff and customers.

Skills

• Prior experience as a Barista or in food service is highly preferred; familiarity with coffee industry standards is a plus.
• Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for quick transaction processing.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to create welcoming atmospheres for diverse guests.
• Excellent time management skills to handle high-volume periods efficiently.
• Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and order accuracy.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques.
• Ability to multitask seamlessly in a fast-paced café environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and assist customers confidently.
