Join our team as a Shipping Clerk in sunny Orlando, Florida! This dynamic role is essential to our logistics department, ensuring that all outgoing shipments are processed accurately and efficiently. You will be responsible for preparing shipping documentation, verifying order details, coordinating with carriers, and ensuring that packages are ready for dispatch. A keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are crucial. You will play a key part in maintaining our reputation for reliable and timely deliveries. We foster a culture of safety, requiring strict adherence to all safety policies and procedures, including the use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and safe lifting practices. Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately prepare and process all shipping documentation, including bills of lading and manifests.
- Verify the contents of outgoing orders against shipping requirements.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers to schedule pickups and track shipments.
- Ensure packages are properly labeled, sorted, and staged for carrier collection.
- Maintain organized records of all shipments and related documentation.
- Communicate with internal departments regarding shipping status and any issues.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including proper lifting techniques and the use of PPE.
- Assist with general warehouse duties as needed to support logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping, logistics, or a related administrative role is highly desirable.
- Proficiency with computers and standard office software.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to all workplace guidelines.
