We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Inventory Clerk to join our dynamic logistics team in Tampa, Florida. As an Inventory Clerk, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. Your responsibilities will include tracking inventory levels, performing cycle counts, identifying discrepancies, and reconciling stock. You will work closely with the warehouse management to ensure efficient stock rotation and identify areas for improvement in inventory control processes. Strong attention to detail and proficiency in inventory management software are essential. This role requires individuals who are proactive in identifying and resolving inventory issues to support smooth warehouse operations.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular physical inventory counts and cycle counts.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Assist with receiving and put-away of incoming goods.
- Prepare inventory reports for management.
- Ensure proper storage and organization of inventory items.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety guidelines.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth logistics flow.
- Operate equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks as needed (certification may be required).
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in inventory control or a related field is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Experience with WMS software is advantageous.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to perform accurate counts and identify discrepancies.
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical stamina and ability to perform tasks requiring lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Understanding of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of wearing appropriate PPE.
