We are looking for an experienced and organized Warehouse Coordinator to oversee daily operations at our facility in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This role is critical to ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of our warehouse and logistics processes. You will be responsible for managing inventory, coordinating staff, optimizing workflows, and ensuring a safe working environment. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of warehouse management systems, and a commitment to continuous improvement in logistics operations.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of warehouse staff, including pickers, packers, and material handlers.
- Manage inventory levels, conduct regular cycle counts, and ensure accuracy within the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Oversee the receiving, warehousing, and distribution of goods.
- Develop and implement efficient warehouse layouts and workflows to maximize productivity.
- Ensure adherence to all safety regulations and company policies, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Train new employees on warehouse procedures and safety protocols.
- Coordinate with carriers and transportation providers to manage inbound and outbound logistics.
- Maintain equipment and ensure a clean and organized warehouse environment.
- Generate reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as order fulfillment time, inventory accuracy, and operational costs.
- Resolve any operational issues or conflicts that arise.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience in warehouse coordination or supervision, with a strong understanding of logistics operations.
- Proficiency with WMS software and other relevant technologies.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to challenges.
- Knowledge of safety best practices and compliance requirements.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Experience with inventory management techniques.
- A strong commitment to fostering a safe and productive work environment.
