We are searching for a meticulous Receiving Clerk to join our logistics team in Portland, Oregon. This vital role ensures that all incoming goods are accurately received, inspected, and processed into our inventory system. You will be the first point of contact for deliveries, playing a critical part in maintaining inventory accuracy and the smooth operation of our warehouse. Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming shipments from trucks safely and efficiently.
- Inspect all incoming goods for damage, discrepancies, and quality issues.
- Verify received items against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Accurately record received goods into the inventory management system.
- Stock received materials in designated warehouse locations.
- Tag and label items as required for inventory tracking.
- Operate equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks (training available).
- Report any discrepancies or damages to management promptly.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
- Comply with all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in receiving, warehousing, or logistics is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in using inventory management software and scanners.
- Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Familiarity with safety protocols and the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- A proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
- Dependability and punctuality.
