We are seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to join our thriving logistics hub in Tampa, Florida. This role is pivotal in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our inventory through meticulous tracking and management. The Inventory Control Specialist will be responsible for conducting cycle counts, reconciling discrepancies, investigating stock adjustments, and implementing procedures to prevent loss and improve overall inventory accuracy. You will work closely with the warehouse management team to identify trends, implement corrective actions, and optimize stock levels. A strong understanding of inventory management software and principles is essential. This position requires excellent analytical skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies between system records and physical counts.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and potential issues.
- Implement and maintain inventory control procedures.
- Monitor stock levels and recommend adjustments to prevent overstocking or stockouts.
- Process inventory adjustments and transfers accurately.
- Ensure proper labeling and organization of all inventory items.
- Generate reports on inventory accuracy, turns, and other key metrics.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure efficient material flow and reduce errors.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in inventory control or warehouse management.
- Proficiency with inventory management software and ERP systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Ability to perform tasks involving moderate Lifting, typically up to 30 pounds.
- Understanding of Safety protocols within a warehouse environment.
- Must be able to wear and utilize required PPE.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
