We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Shipping Clerk to join our logistics team in Boston, Massachusetts. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all outgoing shipments are processed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with company and carrier regulations. You will play a vital part in our supply chain, managing documentation, coordinating with carriers, and preparing goods for dispatch. This position requires excellent communication and organizational skills.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare shipping labels, packing slips, and bills of lading.
- Verify that all outgoing shipments match order details.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers to schedule pickups and track shipments.
- Inspect outgoing packages for proper packaging and labeling.
- Maintain accurate shipping records and logs.
- Communicate with internal departments and external customers regarding shipment status.
- Operate shipping software and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with all transportation regulations and company policies.
- Maintain a clean and organized shipping area.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, including the proper use of PPE, to ensure a safe working environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or logistics preferred.
- Proficiency in computer applications, including shipping software and MS Office.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs.
- Willingness to wear appropriate PPE.
