We are looking for a diligent Receiving Clerk to manage incoming goods at our Austin, Texas facility. This role is critical to our logistics operations, ensuring all deliveries are accurately received, inspected, and processed into our inventory system. You will be responsible for verifying shipment contents against purchase orders, identifying any discrepancies, and reporting them promptly. Maintaining a safe and organized receiving area is also a key responsibility. Our commitment to safety means all employees must follow strict guidelines and utilize appropriate PPE. This position requires the ability to handle lifting and to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. You will work closely with vendors and internal teams to ensure a smooth flow of materials. Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments from various carriers.
- Verify the accuracy of received goods against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Inspect shipments for damage and report any issues immediately.
- Enter receiving data into the inventory management system.
- Organize and stage received goods for internal distribution or put-away.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly receiving dock area.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers and internal departments.
- Assist with inventory control tasks as needed.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in receiving, shipping, or a similar warehouse/logistics role preferred.
- Ability to perform lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills.
- Proficiency with basic computer systems and data entry.
- Understanding of warehouse safety practices and the importance of PPE.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be detail-oriented and possess good problem-solving skills.
