We are seeking motivated and detail-oriented Picker/Packers to join our dynamic team in Durham, North Carolina. As a Picker/Packer, you will play a crucial role in our logistics operations, ensuring that orders are accurately and efficiently fulfilled. Your primary responsibilities will include accurately picking items for customer orders using RF scanners or pick lists, carefully packing items to prevent damage during transit, and ensuring all orders are correctly labeled and staged for shipment. You will also be responsible for maintaining an organized and clean work area, adhering to all company safety protocols, and participating in inventory counts as needed. The ideal candidate will possess strong attention to detail, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and a commitment to meeting performance metrics. Prior experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment is preferred, but not required, as we provide comprehensive on-the-job training. This role requires moderate physical exertion, including frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting. Proper lifting techniques will be trained and are essential for this role. We provide all necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to ensure your safety. Join our growing team and contribute to the success of our logistics network.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick and pack customer orders using RF scanners or pick sheets.
- Verify item accuracy and quantities against order documentation.
- Package items securely to prevent damage during shipping.
- Label and stage outgoing shipments.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, especially regarding safety and security.
- Participate in inventory management activities.
- Operate warehouse equipment as trained and required.
- Meet or exceed productivity and quality standards.
- Wear appropriate PPE at all times.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations and logistics is a plus.
