The Role As Sales Engineer, you will take ownership of a defined region, selling and promoting a comprehensive portfolio of process instrumentation, calibration, and inspection solutions. You'll be responsible for developing existing accounts, winning new business, and supporting larger project opportunities - working closely with internal sales, marketing, and technical teams. Key Responsibilities Conduct on-site visits with existing and prospective customers Build and grow long-term customer relationships within process industries Maximise sales across products and services within the region Identify and develop new sales channels and opportunities Take a lead role in major customer agreements and larger project bids Manage sales pipelines, forecasting, and opportunity tracking Support tenders and bids for complex, high-value projects Maintain accurate CRM records of all customer interactions Provide market and competitor insight to support marketing strategy Work collaboratively with internal sales and marketing teams Background & Experience Sought Engineering background with exposure to electrical engineering Experience selling into process industries, automation, or control instrumentation Understanding of process instrumentation and calibration within production environments Confident working with engineers, buyers, and senior stakeholders Strong consultative and solution-based sales approach Full UK driving licence (field-based role) Desirable Experience Knowledge of Endress+Hauser, Eurotherm, or similar automation products Experience selling calibration or inspection services, including DSEAR NVQ Level 3 (Electrical Installations) or equivalent WR Engineering are the #1 recruitment partner for engineering, manufacturing & technical sales jobs.
