OCL Group Inc., is proudly 100% Canadian owned and operated. We are a privately held, employee-owned, fully integrated general contractor with design-build solutions across Western Canada. We have been serving the energy and municipal infrastructure markets since 2009.
The formation of OCL was a direct result of a few long-tenured industry professionals with entrepreneurial spirits, wanting to get back to their roots and build an organization where people matter. Formed in 2009, OCL started their first project and began building around a business model focused on "People" and "Doing the Job Right".

The Role
We are currently recruiting for experienced Telehandler Operators to join our team at Kearl Oil Sands, a major oil sands site in Northern Alberta. The successful candidates will work in a safety-first environment on a 14/14 rotation. Camp accommodations and meals provided. Charter flights provided from designated hubs in Edmonton and Calgary with flight allowances based on the province located.
This project is 6 months in duration and will be starting at the beginning of March.

CLAC hourly wages Payday is every Friday Company contributed RRSP & Pension contributions Benefits after 300 hours Paid training 10% vacation and stat holiday pay on regular earnings OT at 1.5 after 8 hours per day Job Duties/Responsibilities
Operate telehandler safety and efficiently to lift, move, position, and place materials at varying heights and distances Conduct pre-operational checks and basic maintenance (fluids, tires, attachments) Select and properly install approved attachments (forks, buckets, man baskets, etc.) as required Interpret load charts and ensure lifts are within rated capacities Communicate effectively and clearly with ground personnel Follow site-specific safety procedures, lift plans and manufacturer operating guidelines Maintain clear work zone and ensure safe travel paths Assist with material staging, loading/unloading trucks and jobsite organization Identify and report mechanical issues, hazards or unsafe conditions immediately Work in coordination with other equipment operators, trades and supervisors Comply with all company, client and regulatory safety standards Skills/Education/Qualifications/Requirements
Valid Telehandler/Forklift Certification Previous experience operating telehandlers in construction, industrial or live-plant environments Strong understanding of load charts and safe lifting practices Physically capable of working in demanding environments Excellent situational awareness and hazard recognition Effective communication and teamwork skills Mechanical aptitude for identifying equipment issues Must have valid safety tickets (CSTS-2020, H2S Alive, WHMIS 2015, Fall Protection, Confined Space, First Aid, AWP) Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test Must be willing to complete a criminal background check Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
