Job Overview:
GrizzlyTrek is currently seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Procurement Manager to lead and optimize our procurement function in Montreal, QB. This role is responsible for developing procurement strategies, managing supplier relationships, ensuring compliance, and driving cost-effective sourcing across the organization. The ideal candidate is a strong people leader with deep knowledge of Canadian procurement practices and a proven ability to deliver value in a complex environment

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee end-to-end procurement activities, including sourcing, contracting, negotiations, and supplier management

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with organizational goals and budgets

  • Manage and mentor a team of procurement professionals, fostering a high-performance culture

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and stakeholders

  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, trade agreements, and applicable legislation (e.g., CFTA, NWPTA, CETA, as applicable)

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and mitigate supply chain risks

  • Analyze spend data and market trends to inform sourcing decisions and long-term planning

  • Partner with finance, operations, and project teams to support business objectives

  • Lead complex and high-value negotiations and contract renewals

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Commerce, or a related field (Master's degree considered an asset)

  • 8–12+ years of progressive procurement or supply chain experience, including leadership roles

  • Professional designation such as SCMP, CPSM, CPP, or PMP is highly desirable

  • Strong knowledge of procurement best practices and Canadian regulatory frameworks

  • Demonstrated success managing large budgets, complex contracts, and strategic suppliers

  • Proven leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills

  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities

  • Proficiency with ERP systems and procurement software

Work Environment:

  • Office-based role in Montreal, QB within a collaborative, supportive setting

  • Standard office equipment used daily

  • Direct guidance provided by the leadership team
