Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts to load and unload materials from trucks and trailers.
- Transport materials within the warehouse to and from designated storage locations.
- Stack and retrieve materials from shelves and racks.
- Assist with inventory control by accurately tracking material movement.
- Perform daily pre-operational checks on forklifts to ensure safe working condition.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment around loading docks and storage areas.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff and supervisors to ensure efficient workflow.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately.
This role requires a valid forklift certification and involves frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds. A strong emphasis on safety and efficiency is crucial for success in this demanding logistics position.
