We are hiring a skilled Forklift Operator for our Houston, Texas facility. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving materials throughout the warehouse. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety protocols. You will operate various types of forklifts to load and unload trucks, move inventory to and from storage areas, and assist with order picking and staging. Maintaining a clean and safe work environment is a top priority. Experience with different forklift models and a solid understanding of warehouse logistics are essential. We are committed to providing a secure workplace where employees are trained on best practices for safety, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, electric, propane) to move, stack, and organize inventory.
- Load and unload trucks and containers efficiently and safely.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Perform pre-operation inspections of forklifts to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including proper lifting techniques and PPE usage.
- Assist with inventory cycle counts and location verification.
- Keep the work area clean and free of debris.
- Support warehouse staff in various logistics tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator.
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Ability to operate multiple types of forklifts.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics.
- Good physical coordination and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Strong safety awareness and a commitment to following safety procedures.
- Reliable and able to work effectively in a team.
