Our growing logistics facility in Provo, Utah, is seeking a skilled Material Handler to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout the warehouse. Your duties will include loading and unloading trucks, transporting goods to designated areas using equipment like forklifts and pallet jacks, and ensuring proper storage of inventory. A strong understanding of warehouse operations, commitment to safety, and the ability to work effectively in a team are essential. This is a physically demanding position that requires stamina and attention to detail to ensure the smooth flow of products. Your contributions are vital to maintaining operational efficiency and supporting our supply chain logistics. Compliance with safety standards and the use of required PPE are mandatory.
Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers accurately and efficiently.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and proficiently.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Assist with inventory management, including put-away and replenishment tasks.
- Ensure all materials are handled with care to prevent damage or loss.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Follow all established safety procedures and guidelines.
- Wear appropriate PPE at all times.
- Conduct routine checks on equipment for safety and functionality.
- Communicate any operational issues or delays to supervisors promptly.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role is required.
- Certification for operating forklifts or other heavy equipment is a significant plus.
- Knowledge of safe material handling practices and warehouse safety regulations.
- Ability to perform tasks involving lifting up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Strong teamwork and communication abilities.
- Dependable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced logistics environment.
- Understanding of basic inventory control and supply chain processes.
