Our established logistics company in Colorado Springs, Colorado, is seeking a certified Forklift Operator to join our dedicated team. In this crucial role, you will operate forklifts to move, load, unload, and stack materials within our warehouse. Ensuring the safe and efficient handling of goods is paramount. You will perform daily inspections of equipment, maintain accurate inventory records, and work collaboratively with other warehouse personnel to ensure smooth operations. The ideal candidate will have proven experience, a strong understanding of warehouse safety protocols, and a commitment to maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to transport materials.
- Load and unload goods from trucks and trailers.
- Move pallets and other materials to and from designated storage areas.
- Perform routine checks and maintenance on forklifts to ensure operational readiness.
- Maintain accurate inventory records through scanning and system updates.
- Assist with order picking and packing when needed.
- Adhere strictly to all warehouse Safety regulations and traffic management guidelines.
- Keep work areas clean and free of obstructions.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift certification is mandatory.
- Demonstrated experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or logistics setting.
- Knowledge of warehouse procedures and Safety standards.
- Ability to perform tasks involving significant Lifting, typically up to 50 pounds.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- A strong commitment to workplace Safety and accident prevention.
- Must wear required PPE, including safety shoes and high-visibility apparel.
- Ability to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
