Seeking a meticulous Receiving Clerk in our Philadelphia, Pennsylvania facility! This role is fundamental to managing the flow of goods into our warehouse. As a Receiving Clerk, you will be responsible for accepting incoming shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders, inspecting for damage, and properly documenting all received items. Accurate data entry and organizational skills are paramount. You will be a key player in maintaining inventory integrity and ensuring smooth operations within our logistics network. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and understands the importance of safety in a warehouse setting.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments efficiently.
- Verify received goods against packing slips and purchase orders.
- Inspect all incoming merchandise for damage and report discrepancies.
- Accurately record received inventory into the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Organize and stage received goods for put-away.
- Adhere to all safety procedures, including proper lifting techniques and the use of required PPE.
- Communicate effectively with vendors and internal departments regarding deliveries.
- Maintain a clean and safe receiving area.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in receiving or inventory management preferred.
- Proficiency in data entry and basic computer skills.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics principles.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and the importance of PPE.
