Are you a seasoned leader with a passion for efficient operations? We are looking for an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to lead our team in a bustling Los Angeles, California facility. This critical role involves overseeing daily warehouse activities, managing staff, and ensuring the smooth execution of all logistics functions. You will be responsible for setting performance goals, training new employees, and implementing best practices to optimize productivity and safety. Your leadership will directly impact our ability to meet customer demands and maintain high operational standards.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of warehouse staff, including Material Handlers, Fulfillment Associates, and Receiving Clerks.
- Develop and implement operational strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance productivity within the warehouse.
- Ensure all staff adhere to company policies, safety regulations, and the proper use of PPE.
- Manage inventory levels, conduct regular audits, and implement inventory control measures.
- Oversee the receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate warehouse personnel, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Resolve operational issues and employee grievances in a timely and effective manner.
- Maintain a strong focus on Safety, conducting regular safety meetings and inspections.
- Coordinate with other departments, such as procurement and transportation, to ensure seamless Logistics flow.
- Monitor performance metrics and report on key indicators to senior management.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or similar leadership role.
- Demonstrated ability to manage a team and drive performance.
- In-depth knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and Logistics best practices.
- Excellent understanding of Safety protocols and the ability to enforce them rigorously.
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring occasional heavy Lifting and physical exertion.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to ensuring all employees use appropriate PPE at all times.
