We are looking for a dependable and experienced Material Handler to join our busy warehouse in New York City, New York. This role is integral to the smooth operation of our Logistics department, ensuring timely and accurate movement of goods. You will be responsible for receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping materials and products. This position demands physical stamina and the ability to perform frequent Lifting of heavy items, up to 70 pounds, with proper technique. Meticulous attention to detail is required for inventory management and order accuracy. We maintain a strong commitment to workplace Safety; therefore, the use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and strict adherence to all Safety regulations are mandatory. Responsibilities:
- Receive, verify, and store incoming materials and products.
- Accurately pick orders for shipment according to specified requirements.
- Pack materials securely and efficiently for transit.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely.
- Conduct regular inventory cycle counts and ensure data accuracy.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
- Adhere to all Safety policies and procedures, including proper use of PPE.
- Perform duties involving significant Lifting, following established safety guidelines.
- Prepare shipping documentation and coordinate with carriers.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for warehouse operations.
