We are seeking a dependable and efficient Material Handler for our warehouse in Tampa, Florida. This role is fundamental to the smooth operation of our logistics facility, involving the movement, organization, and preparation of materials. You will be responsible for handling goods from receiving through to dispatch, ensuring accuracy and safety at all times. Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials and products from trucks and shipping containers.
- Transport materials throughout the warehouse using appropriate equipment, such as pallet jacks.
- Sort, organize, and stack items in designated storage areas.
- Assist with the receiving process, verifying incoming shipments against orders.
- Prepare materials for shipment, ensuring accurate counts and proper packaging.
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work environment.
- Strictly adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including the correct use of PPE.
- Conduct basic equipment checks and report any maintenance needs.
- Support inventory control tasks, such as cycle counts.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Prior experience in a warehouse or material handling setting is preferred.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including frequent lifting, bending, and standing.
- Must be able to consistently lift up to 60 lbs.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail are essential.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively within a team.
- Demonstrated understanding and commitment to workplace safety.
- Must wear all required PPE.
