We are seeking an experienced and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our dynamic warehouse team in Provo, Utah. The Forklift Operator will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of goods within our facility, utilizing various types of forklifts to load, unload, stack, and transport inventory. This role is fundamental to our logistics operations, ensuring materials are handled correctly and efficiently to meet operational demands. Key Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move products and materials throughout the warehouse.
- Load and unload trailers and containers with precision and care.
- Stack and organize inventory in designated storage areas, ensuring stability and accessibility.
- Conduct daily inspections of forklifts and report any defects or maintenance needs promptly.
- Assist with inventory cycle counts and verify quantities as needed.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandated use of PPE.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment, free from obstructions.
- Support the broader logistics team by ensuring materials are readily available for order fulfillment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification and demonstrable experience.
- Proven ability to operate various types of forklifts safely and effectively.
- Capability to perform moderate to heavy lifting (up to 60 pounds).
- Thorough understanding of warehouse safety regulations and best practices.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is beneficial.
- Strong hand-eye coordination and mechanical aptitude.
- Commitment to wearing all required PPE and following safety protocols diligently.
- Knowledge of general logistics operations.
Working Conditions:
This position requires working in a warehouse environment that may involve exposure to various temperatures. The role involves frequent physical activity, including standing, walking, bending, and lifting. Strict adherence to safety guidelines and the mandatory use of appropriate PPE are essential to ensure the well-being of our employees and the efficient operation of our logistics processes.
