We are actively recruiting a certified Forklift Operator for our San Jose, California location. This position is central to our logistics operations, ensuring the efficient and safe movement of goods within our warehouse. Your primary responsibilities will include operating forklifts to load and unload trucks, move inventory to and from storage locations, and assist with order fulfillment. A paramount focus on safety is required, and you must adhere to all company policies and utilize appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This role demands excellent hand-eye coordination, spatial awareness, and the ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) to move materials safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Transport inventory to and from designated storage areas.
- Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on forklift equipment.
- Maintain accurate inventory records through scanning and system updates.
- Adhere to all safety regulations, warehouse procedures, and proper use of PPE.
- Assist with other warehouse duties such as picking, packing, and shipping when needed.
- Ensure the work area remains clean, organized, and hazard-free.
- Follow established lifting guidelines and techniques.
- Collaborate with the logistics team to achieve daily operational goals.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution setting.
- Valid forklift certification is mandatory.
- Proficiency with various types of forklifts and warehouse equipment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse safety protocols and logistics principles.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including overtime if necessary.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
