Our state-of-the-art facility in Raleigh, North Carolina, is seeking a skilled Warehouse Technician to join our team. This critical role is responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and maintenance of our warehouse equipment and infrastructure, directly supporting our complex logistics operations. As a Warehouse Technician, you will perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and timely repairs on a variety of machinery, including conveyors, forklifts, sorting systems, and automated storage and retrieval systems. Your expertise will be vital in minimizing downtime and ensuring the safe, efficient movement of goods. Responsibilities include troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, maintaining detailed maintenance logs, ordering necessary parts, and collaborating with operations teams to address equipment needs. Safety is our top priority; you will be expected to adhere to all safety protocols, including lockout/tagout procedures, and ensure all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is utilized correctly. The ideal candidate will possess strong diagnostic skills, a comprehensive understanding of warehouse equipment, and a proactive approach to maintenance. This role may involve moderate to heavy lifting and requires the ability to work in various warehouse conditions. Experience in industrial maintenance or a related field is essential.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on warehouse equipment.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
- Conduct preventive maintenance to minimize equipment downtime.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities.
- Order and manage spare parts inventory.
- Ensure all equipment operates in compliance with safety regulations.
- Collaborate with operations staff to address equipment needs and improvements.
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment as needed.
- Adhere to all safety standards, including the correct use of PPE.
- Respond to emergency repair requests promptly.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification preferred.
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Technician or in industrial maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Experience with PLC controls and automated systems is a plus.
- Ability to diagnose and solve complex technical problems.
- Proficiency in reading schematics and technical manuals.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various physical conditions.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to all regulations.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
