We are seeking a dedicated Order Picker to join our warehouse team in Chicago, Illinois. This role focuses on accurately and efficiently retrieving products from warehouse storage to fulfill customer orders. The Order Picker will utilize scanning devices and follow pick lists to ensure precision in every order. Success in this position requires a keen attention to detail, the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to workplace safety . Your contribution is essential to our logistics and fulfillment processes.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from designated warehouse locations according to order specifications.
- Use handheld scanners or other devices to track inventory and order status.
- Verify picked items for accuracy and quality before moving to the packing station.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all company safety rules and procedures.
- Wear all required PPE , including safety shoes and gloves, as necessary.
- Operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment if trained and required.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience as an Order Picker or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Capable of performing tasks involving lifting of up to 40 pounds.
- Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to promoting and maintaining workplace safety .
