Are you a reliable and energetic individual looking for a Material Handler role in Minneapolis, Minnesota? This position is essential to the efficient flow of goods within our warehouse. You will be responsible for receiving, moving, organizing, and dispatching materials and products. Your work will directly support our logistics operations, ensuring that inventory is managed effectively and that materials are available when needed for production or shipment. We are seeking someone who can handle physical tasks, maintain organization, and prioritize safety in all activities. This role requires attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a busy environment.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming materials and products.
- Transport materials within the warehouse using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment.
- Organize and stock materials in designated warehouse locations.
- Prepare materials for shipment, including picking, packing, and staging.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and assist in cycle counts.
- Ensure the safe operation of material handling equipment.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and safely.
- Report any damages, discrepancies, or safety concerns to supervisors.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Proficiency in operating forklifts and other material handling equipment is often required.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects, up to 70 pounds.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
- Familiarity with inventory management and logistics principles.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to wear and use required PPE.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
