SNG is one of the largest housing associations in England, providing over 85,000 homes and investing in communities across the South, West and East of England.
This hybrid role will be based in Basingstoke, requiring 2 days in office per week.
Key Responsibilities
Work closely with stakeholders to understand data needs and convert business requirements into technical delivery plans using Azure DevOps.
Maintain and create data models that support self‑service data reporting from SNG’s central data platform, using standard modelling techniques.
Lead the delivery of data projects, ensuring timely release, scope management, and effective change management.
Act as a change champion by providing user support during and after the move to production, develop training materials and build a network of super‑users across the organisation.
Mentor junior analysts and officers, helping them develop best practices for data modelling and report development.
Identify and address challenges impacting data solutions, and participate in post‑release reviews to maintain alignment with business goals.
About you
Proficiency in Power BI (including DAX) and SQL querying.
Strong experience with star‑schema data modelling.
Familiarity with tools such as SQL Server Management Studio and Azure DevOps.
Excellent understanding of database design, table joins, views, and functions.
Ability to design self‑service dashboards for business users.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, able to explain technical concepts to a non‑technical audience.
Ability to maintain high standards of data accuracy, regulatory compliance, and quality assurance.
