About the Role
We are seeking an experienced *Operating Room (OR) Manager* to oversee daily surgical operations and lead our clinical team. The OR Manager partners closely with physicians, anesthesia providers, and the Practice Manager to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant care across the OR and PACU.
This is a hands-on leadership role for a proven OR leader who thrives in a fast-paced surgical environment and takes pride in building high-performing teams.
Key Responsibilities
*Operating Room & Surgical Operations*
* Manage day-to-day operations of the operating rooms and PACU
* Ensure OR, PACU, and anesthesia equipment is functioning, stocked, and maintained
* Coordinate anesthesia coverage and support efficient surgical scheduling
* Review surgical charts for labs, clearances, documentation, and readiness
* Maintain narcotic logs, implant logs, sterilization logs, crash cart, and malignant hyperthermia kit
*Leadership & Staff Management*
* Supervise, schedule, train, and develop clinical staff
* Lead onboarding, competencies, and ongoing staff education
* Conduct performance evaluations, coaching, and corrective action
* Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and patient-centered care
*Compliance, Safety & Accreditation*
* Oversee Infection Control Program, Quality Improvement initiatives, and OSHA compliance
* Maintain compliance with state regulations and accreditation standards
* Prepare for accreditation surveys and ensure continuous readiness
* Manage incident reporting, emergency drills, and safety plans
*Operational Excellence*
* Manage clinical supply inventory and control costs
* Collaborate with front office, patient care coordinators, facilities, and leadership to optimize OR flow
* Review patient satisfaction data and identify opportunities for improvement
Required Qualifications
* Current *BLS (American Heart Association – Healthcare Provider)* certification
* Supervisory or management experience in an operating room or surgical center
* Strong knowledge of OR workflows, infection control, and accreditation standards
* Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
* Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced surgical environment
Preferred Experience
* Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) experience
* Plastic surgery or procedural surgical background
* Experience leading accreditation surveys and quality initiativ
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $105,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
