The role would typically look like this:
We are looking for someone who will lead the data and analytics strategy for a wide variety of clients. You should be comfortable with client-facing responsibilities and thrive working in a team to create advanced tracking set ups. With a background in data and analytics and a minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in successfully working in data, analytics and tracking, you will work with our team to create advanced tracking set ups and troubleshoot data issues. The Data and Analytics Manager will plan and implement tracking and reporting that meets the requirements of each client’s individual needs. You will have strong analysis skills and the ability to extract useful insights from data and convey the story of the data to clients. Additionally, you will work directly with our clients, helping them to set up and collect accurate data tracking, and providing actionable recommendations to help them improve website performance. The role will be supported by two expert Data Managers and senior support by the Search and Innovation Director. Key Responsibilities
of this role would include:
Specific duties: Turning data into action Analyse, interpret, and visualise data from multiple sources to provide actionable insights. Report creation Build and maintain dashboards and reports in Google Looker Studio or other BI tools e.g Power BI, or Tableau. Monitoring Track and measure SEO and paid media performance using GA4, Google Search Console, and other relevant tools. Tracking set up Implement and audit tracking setups in Google Tag Manager and ensure accurate data collection. Strategy creation Collaborate with teams to identify data gaps, optimise processes, and recommend strategies. Make contributions to wider SEO strategies which reflect the client’s business objectives, website performance, and available resources to achieve tangible results. Data Compliance Ensure compliance with data governance and privacy regulations (GDPR, DMA) including having an up-to-date understanding of compliance requirements and consent mode Client management Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients, including presenting ongoing work in regular meetings Industry knowledge Keeping up to date with industry developments to ensure continuous development of our data and analytics knowledge. Contributing proactively with thought leadership, creating and writing content to help share Varn’s expertise within SEO and search marketing. Required Skills & Duties: Analytics & Reporting:

Experience with BigQuery and/or sGTM Organised and detail-oriented Proactive and solution-focused Passion for SEO, paid media, and digital marketing analytics Strong storytelling skills with data Who are you?
You have at least 2 years of hands-on experience in successfully working in data, analytics and tracking You have experience integrating multiple data sources into dashboards You have the ability to identify tracking gaps and optimise client journeys using analytics insights You have knowledge of advanced tracking set ups, and reporting softwares You are able to work well under pressure and carefully manage your own time You like data, pay close attention to detail, and feel at home analysing data and putting together interesting stories from large data analysis You are a friendly, honest and hard-working individual who enjoys working alongside and contributing to a wider team You ideally have experience in developing and building long term client relationships within an agency or consultancy. You can confidently express yourself while discussing ideas with clients and team members You have experience in mentoring, supporting and directing junior team members, or are keen to learn to line-manage others Our purpose is to nurture and develop a motivated and expert team. Salary of £29k – £45k depending on experience Opportunity to be part of a growing agency Company wide bonus scheme (up to 10% annual bonus) Access to our London office, woodland office, our mobile Camper Varn office and Woolacombe (Devon) beach view workspace, so you can work outside and be inspired in new places.
