Position Summary

Inkeros is seeking an IT Operations Specialist to manage and maintain our core technology systems and provide high-quality support to our internal users. This position is responsible for the full lifecycle of IT assets, system maintenance, and end-user support.

This role is designed as a growth-track position. The ideal candidate will master foundational IT operations with the express goal of developing into a senior role through structured mentorship and project-based experience.

Responsibilities

1. IT Support and End-User Services

  • Serve as the point of contact for technical support requests, addressing hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Manage the IT support ticketing system, ensuring tickets are resolved and documented in a timely manner.
  • Develop and maintain the internal knowledge base with technical documentation and user guides.
  • Conduct IT onboarding and training for new employees.

2. Systems Setup and Maintenance

  • Provision, configure, and deploy employee endpoints (laptops, mobile devices) using Mobile Device Management (MDM) platforms.
  • Assist in the administration of core business applications, such as (e.g., Google Workspace, Microsoft 365).
  • Perform routine system maintenance, security patching, and software updates across servers and endpoints to ensure system integrity.

3. Troubleshooting and Maintenance

  • Investigate, diagnose, and resolve complex or recurring technical issues.
  • Perform root cause analysis (RCA) to identify and remediate underlying problems.
  • Troubleshoot network connectivity issues (VPN, Wi-Fi, LAN).

4. Inventory Management and Procurement

  • Manage the complete IT asset lifecycle, including procurement, deployment, tracking, and decommissioning.
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of all company hardware, software licenses, and peripherals.
  • Assist in developing and implementing automation scripts for inventory and asset management.

Qualifications and Experience

Required Qualifications:

  • Demonstrable experience in an IT support or systems administration role.
  • Strong understanding of modern operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux) and networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
  • Experience with identity management systems.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a strong emphasis on customer service and an ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills with a high degree of curiosity.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with a scripting language (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Bash).
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and/or virtualization technologies.
  • Basic understanding of containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
