Software Development Intern

We are seeking a Software Development Intern to join our Route Optimization team and support the development of our route creation platforms. This is an exciting opportunity to work within an agile squad to optimize the distribution of packages across Intelcom's network.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the development, testing, and maintenance of Route Optimisation software solutions using Java and AWS.

• Collaborate to translate requirements into technical solutions.

• Write clean, efficient, and scalable code, along with comprehensive tests to ensure reliability and performance.

• Participate in team's agile scrum sprints and ceremonies

• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.

• Contribute to troubleshooting, debugging, and optimizing the system.

• Support the deployment of software updates and the maintenance of system performance.

• The role involves daily (or regular) communication with pan-Canadian stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.

• Proficient in Java.

• Knowledge of additional programming languages, including C# and Python.

• Experience with AWS or Azure is an asset.

• Strong understanding of data structures.

• Experience designing and implementing database structures.

• Logical, analytical, and creative approach to problem-solving

• Strong collaboration and communication skills
