Lead and inspire a team as a Warehouse Supervisor in Grand Rapids, Michigan. As a Warehouse Supervisor, you will manage a team of warehouse associates, delegating tasks, monitoring performance, and providing guidance and training. Your responsibilities will include coordinating the flow of goods, managing inventory levels, optimizing space utilization, and ensuring timely order fulfillment. A strong emphasis is placed on safety, including the enforcement of all safety regulations and the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE) by your team. This is a critical role within our logistics network, offering significant responsibility and the opportunity to impact operational success. The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership skills, a deep understanding of warehouse management best practices, and the ability to handle demanding situations. Responsibilities:
- Supervise and direct daily warehouse activities and staff.
- Ensure all orders are picked, packed, and shipped accurately and on time.
- Monitor inventory levels and conduct regular cycle counts.
- Implement and enforce all safety policies and procedures, including PPE usage.
- Train and mentor warehouse associates.
- Manage the receiving and put-away process.
- Optimize warehouse layout and workflow for maximum efficiency.
- Troubleshoot operational issues and implement solutions.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in logistics or related field preferred.
- Proven experience in a warehouse supervisory role.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- In-depth knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems.
- Ability to enforce safety standards and ensure proper PPE use.
- Experience managing teams and understanding lifting requirements.
