We are hiring an Order Picker to join our energetic team in Columbus, Ohio! As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for accurately selecting items from warehouse inventory to fulfill customer orders. This role requires efficiency, speed, and a keen eye for detail to ensure that the correct products are picked and staged for shipment. You will utilize scanning devices and follow pick lists generated by our warehouse management system. This is a physically active role where you'll be navigating the warehouse, often involving significant Lifting. We are committed to maintaining a safe workplace, and all employees are required to follow safety procedures and wear the appropriate PPE. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items for customer orders using RF scanners and pick sheets.
- Verify picked items against order details to ensure accuracy.
- Stage picked orders in designated areas for packing and shipping.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow all warehouse safety protocols, including the proper use of PPE.
- Report any inventory discrepancies or equipment issues immediately.
- Operate pallet jacks and other manual lifting devices.
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned by supervisors.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a warehouse setting is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret pick lists and product labels.
- Experience with RF scanning equipment is a plus.
- Physical ability to perform frequent Lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Commitment to workplace safety and the use of required PPE.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
This role is essential to our logistics operations, ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment of customer orders. Your attention to detail and efficiency in picking directly impact customer satisfaction. Maintaining a safe work environment through adherence to all protocols and proper use of PPE is mandatory.
