We are hiring a skilled Forklift Operator for our Portland, Oregon facility. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating forklifts to move, load, unload, and stack materials within our warehouse. Your duties will include transporting goods to and from production areas, shipping docks, and storage locations, as well as assisting with inventory management and maintaining equipment. A strong commitment to Safety, adherence to operational procedures, and experience with various forklift types are essential. This role is critical to the smooth functioning of our logistics operations.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts to move, load, unload, and stack merchandise.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Inspect forklift equipment before and after use, reporting any issues.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock placement.
- Follow all Safety regulations and guidelines for forklift operation.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient workflow.
- Wear appropriate PPE, including safety shoes and reflective vests.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator.
- Valid forklift operator certification or license.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional Lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Excellent knowledge of forklift safety procedures.
- Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Commitment to workplace Safety and accident prevention.
