We are looking for a meticulous Inventory Control Specialist to join our Charlotte, North Carolina team. This role is crucial for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our inventory. You will be responsible for implementing and overseeing inventory control procedures, conducting regular cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and ensuring that our Warehouse Management System (WMS) accurately reflects physical stock. The ideal candidate will have a sharp analytical mind, strong organizational skills, and a thorough understanding of inventory management principles within a logistics environment. A proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to Safety are highly valued.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement inventory control procedures.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the WMS.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
- Monitor stock levels and ensure optimal inventory turnover.
- Work closely with warehouse and operations teams to ensure accuracy.
- Promote a culture of Safety and ensure compliance with all Safety regulations.
- Utilize appropriate PPE when performing tasks that require it.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Proven experience in inventory control or a related role.
- Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational and attention-to-detail abilities.
- Understanding of logistics and supply chain operations.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring moderate physical exertion, including occasional Lifting.
- Commitment to maintaining a Safe and accurate inventory system.
