We are seeking a skilled Material Handler for our Oklahoma City, Oklahoma location. This position is critical for the efficient movement and organization of materials within our warehouse. You will be responsible for operating various types of material handling equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and conveyors, to load, unload, and transport goods. Maintaining an organized inventory and ensuring timely delivery of materials to production or shipping areas are key aspects of this role. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to Safety, possess excellent operational skills, and understand the importance of accurate material tracking within the logistics chain.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move inventory.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and safely.
- Transport materials to and from various departments within the facility.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counts.
- Ensure all materials are properly stored and organized.
- Perform routine checks on equipment to ensure proper working condition.
- Adhere strictly to all Safety regulations and guidelines.
- Wear appropriate PPE, including safety glasses, gloves, and hard hats as required.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar role.
- Valid forklift operator certification is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent Lifting up to 60 lbs.
- Solid understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Strong knowledge of material handling equipment operation and maintenance.
- Commitment to workplace Safety and risk prevention.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
