We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Receiving Clerk to join our vibrant warehouse team in Seattle, Washington. Your responsibilities will include accurately receiving goods, verifying orders against documentation, inspecting items for damage, and ensuring proper placement within the warehouse. Responsibilities:
- Receive incoming shipments, verify contents against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Inspect goods for damage or discrepancies upon arrival.
- Document all received items accurately in the inventory management system.
- Label and stage received goods for appropriate storage or distribution.
- Coordinate with delivery drivers and internal departments to ensure smooth receiving operations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and reconciliation as needed.
- Follow specific handling instructions, including those related to any necessary Lifting.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in a receiving, warehouse, or logistics role is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and verification.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to operate basic warehouse equipment, such as pallet jacks.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems is a plus.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional Lifting of up to 50 pounds.
- Commitment to following safety protocols and wearing required PPE.
Safety is a key component of this role. You will be trained on all safety procedures, including proper handling techniques and the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), to ensure a secure and productive work environment. This position is fundamental to our logistics workflow, ensuring the integrity of incoming inventory and supporting overall operational success.
