We are seeking an attentive Order Picker to join our dedicated team in Detroit, Michigan. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately locating and retrieving items to fulfill customer orders. Your precision and efficiency are key to maintaining customer satisfaction and the smooth operation of our warehouse. A strong emphasis is placed on workplace Safety, and adherence to all guidelines, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is required. This position involves regular physical activity, including significant Lifting and movement of products, and is integral to our Logistics operations. Your commitment to Safety is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick specified items from warehouse shelves using pick lists or electronic devices.
- Verify picked items against order requirements to ensure accuracy.
- Prepare picked items for the next stage of the order fulfillment process.
- Maintain an organized and clean work area, adhering to all Safety standards.
- Operate manual pallet jacks and other necessary equipment safely.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock checks as needed.
- Report any discrepancies in inventory or operational issues to supervisors immediately.
- Follow all company procedures to ensure efficient order processing and Logistics flow.
- Contribute to team efforts by actively participating in daily tasks and operational goals.
- Engage in ongoing training to enhance skills in order picking and warehouse Safety.
The ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail, good stamina, and the ability to work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience as an Order Picker or in a similar warehouse role is preferred but not mandatory.
