Our Chicago, Illinois location is seeking an experienced Material Handler to join our dedicated team. This role is crucial for the efficient operation of our distribution center, focusing on the safe and effective movement of goods. You will be responsible for operating material handling equipment, managing inventory, and supporting both receiving and shipping functions. A strong understanding of warehouse processes and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of safety are paramount. Your daily activities will involve loading and unloading shipments, transporting materials throughout the facility, and ensuring accurate placement and tracking of inventory. We require all team members to rigorously follow established safety procedures and utilize the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE ). The physical demands of this job include frequent lifting of items up to 60 lbs, standing, walking, and operating heavy machinery. Experience within the logistics industry is highly desirable. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, reach trucks, and pallet jacks to move and position materials.
- Receive and unload incoming shipments, verifying contents against documentation.
