Job Summary:
We are searching for a skilled Inventory Control Specialist to join our team in Boston, Massachusetts. In this vital role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our inventory. You will monitor stock levels, conduct cycle counts, investigate discrepancies, and implement strategies to optimize inventory management. Your expertise will directly impact our logistics efficiency and financial accuracy. We are looking for an analytical and proactive individual who can maintain high standards in a demanding environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies by researching transaction history.
  • Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records in the WMS/ERP system.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop and implement inventory control procedures to minimize shrinkage and obsolescence.
  • Manage stock rotation and ensure FIFO (First-In, First-Out) principles are applied where applicable.
  • Collaborate with operations, purchasing, and finance departments to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Train and guide warehouse staff on inventory control best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with all Safety regulations and the proper use of PPE.
  • Optimize warehouse layout and product placement to improve logistics flow.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in inventory control, preferably in a warehouse or distribution environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with WMS/ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional Lifting.
  • Excellent organizational skills and high attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Understanding of logistics principles and inventory management techniques.
  • Knowledge of Safety procedures and mandatory PPE requirements.
