Our Philadelphia, Pennsylvania logistics team is searching for a skilled and certified Forklift Operator. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts to move, stack, and organize inventory throughout our warehouse. Your duties will include loading and unloading trucks, transporting materials to designated areas, and preparing items for shipment. A proven track record of safe forklift operation and a thorough understanding of warehouse safety protocols are essential. We are looking for a dependable and detail-oriented individual who can contribute to our high standards of operational excellence in logistics.Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts to move, stack, rack, and unrack materials.
- Load and unload trucks and trailers in a timely and efficient manner.
- Transport inventory from receiving to storage areas and from storage to shipping docks.
- Perform daily pre-shift inspections of forklift equipment and report any defects.
- Maintain accurate inventory records through system updates and physical counts.
- Adhere to all safety regulations, including the proper use of required PPE.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and free from obstructions.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth logistics operations.
- Participate in ongoing safety training and operational improvement initiatives.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current and valid forklift operator certification.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution environment.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Comprehensive knowledge of warehouse safety standards and best practices.
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
- Dependable with excellent time management.
- Understanding of logistics flow and warehouse operations.
