Our Columbus, Ohio location is seeking an efficient and accurate Order Picker to join our warehouse team. As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for accurately selecting and gathering products from warehouse shelves based on customer orders. Your primary goal will be to ensure that orders are picked quickly, correctly, and prepared for the next stage of the logistics process. This role requires focus, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to navigate a warehouse environment effectively. You will play a crucial role in our order fulfillment cycle and contribute to customer satisfaction by ensuring accurate and timely shipments. We emphasize a safe working environment and expect all team members to utilize appropriate PPE.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse stock based on order lists or digital scanners.
- Verify picked items against order details to ensure accuracy.
- Transport picked items to the packing or staging area.
- Maintain awareness of warehouse layout and product locations.
- Report any stock discrepancies or damages to supervisors.
- Adhere to all warehouse safety regulations and procedures, including proper Lifting techniques.
- Keep work area clean and organized.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
- Capability for occasional Lifting of up to 35 pounds.
- Familiarity with RF scanners or other picking technology is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Understanding of warehouse operations and basic logistics.
- Commitment to workplace Safety and the proper use of PPE.
