Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks to transport materials safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload trucks, containers, and other vehicles.
- Stack and retrieve materials from warehouse racking systems.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance checks on forklifts; report any issues promptly.
- Adhere to all Safety regulations and company policies, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and locating stock.
- Ensure that all loads are properly secured and balanced.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment, contributing to overall warehouse organization and logistics flow.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding tasks and potential issues.
- Perform other warehouse duties as required.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification is mandatory.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or logistics setting.
- Demonstrated knowledge of warehouse Safety procedures and best practices.
- Ability to perform occasional heavy Lifting, up to 60 pounds.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial reasoning skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong commitment to workplace Safety.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
