Join our growing logistics operation as a Warehouse Associate in Charlotte, North Carolina. This role is vital to ensuring the efficient flow of goods through our distribution center. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping products. We are looking for individuals who are detail-oriented, physically capable, and dedicated to maintaining a safe and productive work environment. Your role will directly impact customer satisfaction by ensuring orders are processed accurately and on time. The successful candidate will have a strong sense of responsibility and be adept at handling various warehouse equipment. This job involves significant physical activity, including frequent lifting and moving of goods.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and accurately log incoming inventory.
- Organize and store products in designated warehouse locations.
- Pick orders accurately based on customer requirements, ensuring the correct items and quantities are selected.
- Pack items securely for shipment, using appropriate materials to prevent damage.
- Prepare orders for shipment, including labeling and staging.
- Operate various warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks (training provided where necessary).
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse floor, aisles, and workstations.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and company procedures to ensure a safe working environment for everyone.
- Utilize Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by safety guidelines.
- Assist with inventory cycle counts and physical inventories.
- Contribute to a positive team atmosphere and assist colleagues as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous warehouse experience is advantageous but not essential.
- Must be able to perform consistent lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Capability to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods.
- Proficiency in basic math and reading comprehension.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A strong commitment to safety and adherence to PPE requirements.
- Reliable transportation and a dependable work ethic.
- Flexibility to work overtime or different shifts as business needs dictate.
- Understanding of logistics and supply chain principles is a plus.
