We are seeking experienced and certified Forklift Operators to join our busy logistics hub in Boston, Massachusetts. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. Your primary objective is to ensure the smooth flow of materials within the warehouse, supporting receiving, put-away, order picking, and shipping processes. A strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is essential. You will work closely with other warehouse personnel and logistics coordinators to maintain organized storage and timely movement of goods. This position requires precision, attention to detail, and the ability to operate various types of forklifts. Regular lifting of items may be required when not operating the forklift. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts to move, stack, and retrieve materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and accurately.
- Transport materials to and from designated storage areas.
- Perform pre-operational checks on forklifts to ensure they are in safe working condition.
- Maintain accurate records of material movements and inventory locations.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations, warehouse policies, and the mandatory use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as needed.
- Identify and report any damaged goods or equipment malfunctions.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification (e.g., OSHA-compliant).
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent attention to detail and hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to following safety guidelines and using PPE.
- Good communication skills.
